Notice to Mariners - aids to navigation perch eight and a half mile south

The lit perch at eight and a half mile on the south side of the river (53.43.599N, 02.56.740W) was previously reported as having been damaged and collapsed by unknown causes. An unlit starboard-hand green buoy was chained in the approximate position of the 8½ mile south marker.

This smaller temporary buoy has now been replaced with a larger lit starboard-hand green buoy that will remain in place until such time that a new perch can be installed at some point in the future.
