Taxi trade liaison meetings

We hold regular meetings with representatives of the hackney carriage trade who raise issues on behalf of their members with council officers.

We also hold an annual meeting with licensed private hire operators.

What will be discussed?

Discussions at these meetings may be on subjects ranging from changes to relevant legislation, local policies and procedures to how communication can be improved between us and the taxi trade.

Representatives from the hackney carriage trade will attend meetings held every two months and be able to raise matters on behalf of their members with council officers.

Other stakeholders such as the police and the highway authority are invited to attend when appropriate for them to do so.

How often are taxi trade liaison meetings?

Every two months.
