A new Local Plan for the three Authorities of Preston, South Ribble and Chorley is being prepared to cover the period to 2041.

It will provide a robust strategy to attract new investment whilst continuing to protect the unique characteristics of the area, to deliver sustainable development.

Consultation

The Central Lancashire partnership have engaged on the development of the Central Lancashire Local Plan through two previous consultations: Issues and Options, and Preferred Options.

Consultation for the Central Lancashire Local Plan 2023 - 2041 is live from Monday 24 February, 2pm - Monday 14 April, 11.59pm. 

The consultation will include a series of in-person events across Preston, Chorley, and South Ribble, along with the option to complete the online survey Citizen Space - Central Lancashire Local Plan
