Preston City Council is launching consultation with the local community and partners with a view to enhancing the area's leisure facilities, in particular those in several parks.  

The Proposal

Waverley Park Pavilion

It is proposed that the council enhance the area's sports and leisure facilities through the complete rebuild of the existing dilapidated sports pavilion.

We hope to provide a fully accessible sports pavilion/changing facility in Waverley Park. The project would be funded by the Levelling Up Fund, Preston City Council, Fishwick and St Matthews Big Local and the Football Foundation (subject to a successful application).

Waverley Park Improvements

It is proposed that the Council enhance the parks sports and leisure facilities through the refurbishment of the existing Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), skatepark, play area, and the introduction of other on-site facilities such as a 'Pump track' for cycling.

Public Event

The following public event took place on:

  • Thursday 3 August, 6.30pm to 8.30pm - Waverley Park Bowling Pavilion.

Feedback received from this engagement will be taken into consideration as part of funding application to the Football Foundation.  The feedback you give will be used to develop the Council's plans further and the Council will seek to deliver some of these ideas.
