Report a tree problem
We deal with tree problems on public land we own. This includes a range of parks, playgrounds and green open spaces.
Tree problems on public highways (e.g. roads, streets, pavements and grass verges) are the responsibility of Lancashire County Council.
To report a problem on a highway visit Lancashire County Council - report vegetation or trees.
Tree problems on private land are the responsibility of the land owner and must be reported to them.

What happens next?
We will inspect the tree at the earliest opportunity and prioritise any works accordingly.
We will not cut a tree down unless it is diseased, dying or dangerous.
Tree problems we don't deal with
We don't deal with tree problems on the following types of land:
Trees on public highways (roads, footpaths and grass verges)
Tree problems on land that is part of the public highway (e.g. roads, streets, footpaths or grass verges) is the responsibility of Lancashire County Council.

Trees on private land
Tree problems on private land is the responsibility of the land owner.

Trees in neighbour's garden
Tree problems in a neighbour's garden is the responsibility of the neighbour or individual who owns that land. e.g. Landlord.
