Fees for Planning Applications

Increase in planning fees - 1 April 2025

Current application fees are set out in the Planning applications fees December 2023 schedule: Planning Application fees - December 2023 (PDF, 121 KB).

The government has announced an increase in application fees from 1 April 2025. Please note that the new applications fees will be applicable to all applications submitted after 5pm on 31 March 2025.  Details of the new application charges are available to view here: Planning Application Fees - April 2025 (PDF, 189 KB).

The Planning Portal has created a helpful guide on the changes and how it affects the submission of applications on their site, together with a guide to the new fees.

The fee should be paid at the time the application is submitted.
