Increase in planning fees - 1 April 2025

The government has announced an increase in application fees from 1 April 2025. Details of the new application charges are available to view here: Planning Application Fees - April 2025 (PDF, 189 KB).

The Planning Portal has created a helpful guide on the changes and how it affects the submission of applications on their site, together with a guide to the new fees.

The fee should be paid at the time the application is submitted.
