16 July 2024: Preston City Council is pleased to announce the opening of The Guild Lounge, formerly the Guild Hall Foyer in The Guild Hall, Preston.

16 July 2024: Preston City Council has received approval from Full Council to become a founding member of Preston Digital Cooperative (PDC), whose role will be to promote digital inclusion across communities in Preston through the deployment of digital infrastructure including areas of free wifi, and development of digital skills.

16 July 2024: Preston City Council, in collaboration with the local charity Red Rose Recovery, has successfully supported over 160 people in Preston through the transformative 'Changing Futures' programme.

15 July 2024: To celebrate South Asian Heritage Month, there will be an exhibition showcasing the inspiring creativity of The Harris Volunteers and attendees of the Sahara Coffee Afternoon Groups.

26 June 2024: Danikah, a year 9 student at Archbishop Temple High School, won Preston City Council's competition to design artwork for two of their new Rotopress wagons.

25 June 2024: The MET (Mobile Event Tent), a revolutionary arts centre that travels directly to Preston neighbourhoods, will be in Ribbleton from 8 July to 4 August.

24 June 2024: To mark the beginning of Armed Forces Week, the Mayor of Preston joined veterans for the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Cenotaph. The sun shone and there was an address by Colonel (Retd) David Waters to the veterans and public that had gathered.
