Consultation on draft Planning Validation Checklists

Preston City Council is currently undertaking a consultation on the revised version of the planning validation checklist and would welcome your comments.

The purpose of the Validation Checklist is to set out what information is required when submitting an application to the Planning Department.

It is a useful document for applicants to refer to when preparing an application for planning permission or other related developments. There are two Validation Checklists, which includes the main document and a shortened version for householder planning applications.

Both checklists include the National Requirements, which is the statutory information required for all applications, plus the Local Requirements, which sets out the City Council's local list of information requirements it considers necessary to validate an application.
