This form is to be used to be considered for a Council Tax discount if you have an unoccupied and unfurnished property. An Unoccupied and Unfurnished Empty Dwelling is a dwelling which is both unoccupied (nobody lives there) and substantially unfurnished. The 100% discount will last for a maximum of one month, as long as the conditions are met, after which there will be no further discount and a full charge will be payable. This exemption is granted from the date the property became unoccupied and unfurnished, which may not be the date of purchase. Only one period of one month discount is given irrespective of any changes in ownership. The one month period will commence again once the premises have been occupied for a period of greater than six weeks.
