Council Tax and members of religious communities
To be considered for a discount, the person who is a member of a religious community must be:
- a member of a Religious Community whose principal occupation is prayer, contemplation, education, the relief of suffering or any combination of these.
- Dependent on the community for his/her material needs and has no income/capital of his/her own. (Income by way of a pension from previous employment will not disqualify)
