Historic parks and gardens
As well as Listed Buildings there is a national record of the historic parks and gardens which make such a rich and varied contribution to our landscape. This record, known as the Register of Parks and Gardens of special historic interest in England and now containing nearly 1450 sites, was established, and is maintained by, English Heritage.
More information on the Register and the criteria for inclusion can be found on the Historic England website.
