Remembrance Sunday 2020
8 November 2020
Due to the prevailing Covid circumstances and the importance of everyone's health and safety we are unable to hold the usual Remembrance parade and service.
However difficult the current situation it is important that we still commemorate those who lost their lives in both World Wars and in subsequent conflicts.
On Wednesday 4 November the Mayor of Preston, Councillor David Borrow, laid a wreath in remembrance of the fallen at the Cenotaph on behalf of the city of Preston.
We ask everyone wishing to honour those who have lost their lives in the service of our country - both today and on Armistice Da,y Wednesday 11 November, do so in a safe manner.
For most people that will be from the safety of your own homes
It is important that we continue to remember the sacrifice made by the fallen who died that we may live in peace and freedom.
Let us together renew our commitment to remember them.
