Here are some free training sources and resources which are useful for Licensed Premises.
Lancashire County Council Challenge 25
Lancashire County Council Challenge 25 - Lancashire County Council have provided a variety of resources relating to the sale of age restricted sales.
The website includes resources for retail sales and licensed premises, and includes posters, an example age verification policy, advice on keeping a refusals register, and more. They also offer free, online Check 25 training which is essential for all premises licensed for the sale of alcohol.
We recommend that all staff working in licensed premises undertake this training at least annually, and the premises licence holder should keep records of the training undertaken.
Ask for Angela
Ask for Angela is a national scheme to help anybody who is feeling vulnerable on a night out to get the support they need.
Workbooks and posters can be downloaded from the website, and we recommend that all staff working in pubs, bars and clubs undertake this training.
Hard copies of the workbooks can be obtained for your premises by contacting Lancashire Constabulary.
Vulnerability and Drink Spiking Training
Lancashire County Council Vulnerability and Drink Spiking Training - this is an informative 20 minute course that has been developed for anyone working in the nighttime economy.
The aim of the course is to raise awareness around the issue of drink spiking and how to help prevent it.
ACT Awareness e-Learning
ACT (Counter Terrorism) training is an award-winning ACT Awareness e-Learning to learn about good practices to help counter terrorism and increase your security awareness. This course is primarily targeted at staff working within venues and public spaces but is also relevant to critical national infrastructure (CNI) sites and members of the public.
