This Charity provides relief to persons resident in the City Of Preston, who are in need, hardship, sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm, by providing assistance to reduce the need,
hardship, suffering and/or to assist the recovery of such persons in such cases
If your client needs help to set up home after being in care or homeless, or if they have had to move due to disaster ( such as a flood or fire),or due to violence or fear of violence and they need furniture or domestic appliances, we may be able to assist. Please note, if cooking appliances are required, only electric cookers will be supplied
The Trustees always ensure that before making a grant, they are satisfied that your clients have exhausted all statutory services and benefits and other charitable services available
The Charity is supported by nine Trustees of whom the Mayor of Preston and Rector of Preston (St. John) are ex-officio Trustees
The Trustees meet every ten weeks and successful applications will be notified as soon as possible after the meeting dates.
