1. Please use this form to request backdated benefits.
  
  A benefit claim can only be backdated a maximum of one month for Housing Benefit but is unlimited for Council Tax Support for working age customers. This is providing you can give a good reason why you did not apply for the benefit sooner.
  
  A claim can be a maximum of three months for state pension credit age customers. This backdate is automatically granted provided that you qualify for benefit based on your income and capital at the time.
