- The appropriately increased rate of disablement pension
- An increase in a constant attendance allowance
- The standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Personal Independence Payments (PIP).
- The carer does not qualify if the person they are caring for is their husband, wife, partner, civil partner or a child under 18.
same-sex couples who form a civil partnership will have the same rights, responsibilities and duties as couples of the opposite sex. A civil partnership is a formal arrangement that gives same-sex partners the same legal status as a married couple.
