Food access
We are committed to increasing access to good food in our communities.
We know there are many reasons why families and individuals may not have enough food in their cupboards. As such we are also working to increase the financial security for all our residents.
We are supporting schools, faith organisations, community organisations and charities to increase the scale of food projects across Preston.
Holiday Hunger
Holiday Hunger is a term used to describe a shortage of nutritious food for families and children during school holidays, which can put increased pressure on family budgets.
Who does it affect?
It can affect children who receive free school meals but also those families on low or insecure incomes.
How we can help
We are working with schools, faith and community organisations to deliver Holiday Markets for families over the school holidays.

How you can help
We are always looking for new schools, organisations, charities, businesses and individuals to get involved to help us ensure local people do not go hungry.
