Preston Markets Trader Opportunities

Preston Markets has undergone a major redevelopment which has resulted in the creation of a market we are proud of.
Centred on a brand new Market Hall, Preston Market has retained the best of what we've got now and has brought in a range of new exciting product lines.
As well as continuing as the place for Prestonians to buy quality products at competitive prices it is envisaged the markets will become a destination for visitors from across the region.

Outdoor Market
The new Outdoor Market has moved back to its permanent home under the 1875 Market Canopy. New granite paving, improved lighting as well as bespoke tables designed specifically for traders have been provided along with Preston Markets branded umbrellas giving an extra layer of weather protection.
Stalls are currently available at the top of the market near the Lancaster road end next to the brand new market hall. There will be a few small number of stalls available under the Fish Market canopy next to the brand new Box Market from February 2018.
If you would like to trade find out more details on our Outdoor Market page.
What are the new Preston Markets like?
The new Market Hall is a contemporary glass, steel and timber structure celebrating the heritage asset whilst vastly improving the opportunity for traders to operate in a more prominent location with significantly improved visibility, permeability and accessibility.
The new Market Hall is anchored by a strong food offer in the form of butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers and dairy produce supplemented by ready-to-eat food such as sandwich stalls and ethnic food. Around three quarters of the new market hall is allocated to food stalls, with the remainder potentially available to an interesting mix of non-food stalls.
The long term success and sustainability of the market as a whole will depend on the collective offer.
The new markets reflect the changing face of retailing with an emphasis on variety, uniqueness and a reflection of the broad spectrum of customers we want to see in the market.
