Voting areas

Because Preston is a large authority, for the General Election, some parts of Preston vote in different authorities.

Some residents in the Ingol and Cottam Ward and the Lea and Larches Ward vote in Fylde Constituency.

Some residents in the following wards vote in the Wyre and Preston North Constituency:

  • Cadley
  • Garrison
  • Greyfriars
  • Preston Rural East
  • Preston Rural North
  • Ribbleton
  • Sharoe Green wards

How do I register to vote?

To vote you need to be 18 or over and on the electoral register.

If you are not on the electoral register please register early.

You can register online now if you have your national insurance number and date of birth.
