The Chancellor has today (3 February 2022) announced £150 Council Tax Rebate for those in bands A to D, for April. On top of this discount there will also be a discretionary fund available to support vulnerable people and individuals on low incomes that do not pay Council Tax, or that pay Council Tax for properties in Bands E to H.

Please visit GOV.UK - Check your Council Tax bands to find out your Council Tax band for your home.

You can also visit GOV.UK - Challenging your Council Tax band if you wish to request a review of your Council Tax band. You must explain why you believe your band is incorrect and provide supporting evidence.

We have now received government guidance and are working on this to identify qualifying recipients and make the £150 rebate payment. For more information view our Council Tax rebate for home energy costs page.

Further information will be made available on our website when we receive guidance on the administration of these schemes. For more information visit GOV.UK - Millions to receive £350 boost to help with rising energy costs.
