Notice to Mariners - Preston Docks - Lock Gate Repairs

Due to essential maintenance to the lock gates at Preston Dock being carried out by Preston City Council, which involves diving operations, the following is in effect between Monday 16 October 2023 to Friday 20 October 2023 (inclusive).

No locking of vessels between Preston Dock and the River Ribble (either direction) and through the lock (either direction) is available on Monday to Friday (inclusive) within the date range above.

Lock operations on Saturdays and/or Sundays is possible with a minimum of 24 hours notice given to Preston Marina's office for a High Water (Liverpool) that falls between 7am and 8pm.

This notice will be reviewed as the works progress.

A further Notice to Mariners will be issued when these works have been completed.
