A polling station is the building used for people to go and vote in person.
Your polling card will tell you the polling station you should vote at. You can only vote at the polling station stated on your poll card.
Polling stations are open from 7am until 10pm on election day. There is no closure for lunch.
If your name is spelled incorrectly on your poll card, please call us on 01772 906908.
If you've recently been married you can still vote using your maiden name on the poll card for this election. You'll then need to register to vote with your new name.
Taking your poll card with you when you vote makes it easier and quicker for polling staff to find you on the electoral register.
Tellers outside polling stations work for political parties and candidates.
They might ask you for some information, like your electoral number. You don't have to give them the information they ask for, but you can if you want to.
